Jules is an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher. During the lessons he gives countless tips on hand and finger positions, and playing techniques which immediately improve your play as well as the sound. These technical tips are woven effortlessly into the lesson. Jules adapts to your musical preferences, but also broadens it through suggesting both different classical styles as well as film music.
Most importantly Jules' attitude to teaching is to first focus on what goes right rather than wrong. This gives insecure students a lot of confidence to start trying new music, techniques, play in public and simply enjoy making music. Jules also adapts instantly to the level of practice a student was able to put in before a lesson and even without much practice lessons are still always interesting, refreshing and eyeopening.
The online lessons are not distinguishable from live lessons; on the contrary, they are richer. With the camera the keys of Jules' piano are visible and Jules offers the possibility to occasionally send in audio fragments which makes for a very interactive piano study. Great flexible teacher for every level of play.
